June 2009 - Oh my God! Yesterday evening June 29th we quite routinely went to get the mail out of the mailbox. Still unaware we opened the little door, checked the mail and found a letter from the Canadian embassy. Oh my God!
We quickly opened the letter at home and yep, this is it – this is THE letter we´ve been waiting for. This is the letter with the request that states "...please send us your passports in order to finalize your application..."
A weird, happy and unrealistic feeling comes over us. This is where we´ve been working for the past 22 months, this is the finish at the end of the paper marathon, this is the confirmation that Cisco is medically approved, this means that we can proceed with our immigration plans, this is .., this is ... INCREDIBLY GOOD NEWS!!!
We´re a little speechless and despite the good news, it feels as if this precious gift is about to be taken away from us. Things move quicker as expected and the more the dream comes in sight, the more cautious we´ve become. Slightly fearing that we might loose what we´ve achieved so far. Yet, it appears as though we´ve made it and that our visa will be issued soon. The visa which allows us to permanently live and work in Canada. Wow.
First let´s pour ourselves a drink, then we´ll inform the family....
